Somewhere, between every world that has ever existed, there is a house.

It's a good house. It is warm, welcoming, and infinite. It is full of your favorite foods and hobbies, all laid out like they've been waiting for you specifically. There is a bedroom catered to your liking and comfort, down to the exact temperature you like to sleep at. You have no rent to pay or obligations to worry about. It is just a house for you.
You don't know how you got here. Maybe you died, and this is the aftermath… at least, that's what a lot of the folk believe. Some remember the day they arrived, somehow, suddenly turning the corner around a building and stepping into a kitchen they've never seen. Or maybe they fell deep into a puddle and surfaced at a beach. Other times, they just wake up somewhere new.
Charlie is the newest resident to The House, this infinitely-bigger-on-the-inside mansion located in the heart of the “Inbetween.” It is sentient and generous towards all that find themselves lost. Charlie wakes up in a bedroom that isn't her own, and really, really wants to go back home. The other residents just shrug in response, because, well—she is home.
In a place like this, how could you ever want to leave?

The House follows Charlie's fight to get back to where she actually belongs — because as much as this place insists otherwise, this isn't it. A little girl is waiting for her, and Charlie has no intention of going quietly.
